It sits within the Faculty of Information Technology & Communication Studies and entry is less competitive than some other computing programmes. What data science and analytics programmes cover

Programmes of this kind usually begin with foundational mathematics and statistics, then introduce programming languages such as Python or R for handling data. You will learn how to work with large datasets, clean messy information, create visualisations, and use machine learning techniques to spot patterns and make predictions. Many programmes also cover database design, data ethics, and how to communicate findings to people who are not technical.

How hard it is to get a place

This is a less competitive programme compared with other computing and IT degrees. That means your WASSCE grades do not need to be as high as for, say, computer science at some universities.
