Entry to this programme is less competitive than many other degrees. That means you have a better chance of gaining admission with a WASSCE result that might not get you into highly sought-after courses. As with any university programme, you will still need to meet the published requirements, so check whether your grades qualify. Other universities in Ghana offering theology, such as Central University, Christian Service University College, and Pentecost University, also tend to be less competitive.

What graduates do afterwards

Graduates of theology programmes commonly go into Christian ministry as pastors, chaplains, or missionaries, but the degree also opens doors beyond the church. The research, communication, and critical thinking skills are useful in teaching, counselling, non-profit work, and further study in theology or related fields. Some graduates combine theology with social work or community development.
