What automobile engineering covers
Programmes of this kind blend mechanical engineering with the electronics and computer systems used in modern vehicles. How hard it is to get a place
Entry into this programme is competitive. The College of Engineering admits SHS graduates from Agriculture, General Science, and Technical Studies backgrounds, so your qualifications should be from one of those streams. Because places are limited, strong grades in your relevant subjects matter. If you don't get a place here, the same programme at Ho Technical University is less competitive, which could be a useful option to consider.
What you can do with the degree
Graduates typically enter vehicle manufacturing, maintenance, and fleet management, or work as automotive engineers in research and development. Some specialise in electric vehicles, diagnostics, or automotive design, while others move into sales, insurance assessment, or technical teaching.
