What industrial engineering actually is

Industrial engineering focuses on optimising complex processes, people and resources. While other engineering fields design products or structures, industrial engineers design and improve the systems that make, move and deliver them. You build skills in data analysis, problem-solving and process design, learning how to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

How hard it is to get a place

Entry into this programme is competitive. That means you'll need strong WASSCE results to stand a chance, and places are limited. The university considers admissions based on your grades, so check whether your own results meet the published requirements. Competition is tougher than for less competitive programmes, but it is not in the most selective category.

Which SHS backgrounds are accepted

The College of Engineering admits students from Agriculture, General Science and Technical Studies backgrounds.
