Entry requirements at UMAT
To apply, you need credits in Elective Mathematics and any two of the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Applied Electricity, Technical Drawing, ICT, Metal Work, Economics, Geography, Accounting, or Costing. These are subject requirements, not aggregates. The published requirements are the ones you'll need to check your eligibility against.
How competitive is entry?
UMAT's BSc Mathematics is less competitive than the same programme at the University of Cape Coast, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, and the University of Ghana, which are all either competitive or highly competitive. This means that, all else being equal, your chances of an offer are better at UMAT than at those institutions, though you should still confirm your grades meet the subject requirements.
