BTech Science Laboratory Technology

This BTech programme, offered by the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Accra Technical University, prepares you for a hands-on career in laboratory science. You'll develop skills in testing, sample preparation, and quality control using modern laboratory equipment. It's a less competitive degree, and the faculty accepts General Science students from SHS.

How hard it is to get a place

This programme is less competitive to get into than many degrees in medicine or engineering. Because it sits in the Faculty of Applied Sciences, it welcomes SHS General Science students. You should still aim for strong passes in your science subjects, but you won't face the same intense competition as some other science programmes.
