BSc. Finance and Economics

The BSc Finance and Economics at the University for Development Studies combines two related disciplines in one degree. What finance and economics covers

Programmes of this kind typically combine financial accounting, corporate finance and investment analysis with microeconomic and macroeconomic theory. The quantitative side matters: statistics and econometrics give you the tools to make sense of economic data and financial markets.

How the two subjects work together

How hard it is to get a place

Entry to this programme is less competitive than to some other business degrees at the university. That does not mean you need no preparation — you must still meet the WASSCE requirements the School of Business publishes. But if your results are around the typical admission level for the school, you have a realistic chance of being admitted.
