At UENR, entry to the BSc Nursing programme is less competitive than at many other universities offering the same degree. For comparison, the University of Ghana is competitive, while KNUST, the University of Health and Allied Sciences, and the University of Cape Coast are highly competitive. To be considered, you need passes in Core English, Core Mathematics, and Integrated Science, plus a pass in at least one of Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Elective Mathematics. UENR accepts students from Business, General Science, and Technical Studies backgrounds, which gives you more flexibility than some other programmes.

Career options after your nursing degree

Most nursing graduates begin as registered nurses in hospitals, clinics, and health centres, providing direct patient care. Others go into community health, public health education, nursing education, or hospital administration. Many nurses later specialise in areas like paediatrics, midwifery, critical care, or mental health.
