BSc. Agriculture Technology (Agricultural Economics and Extension)

What this field is about

Programmes of this kind usually cover two linked areas. Agricultural economics looks at how land, labour, and capital are used in farming, how prices are set, and how government policies shape the food system. Agricultural extension focuses on transferring new ideas and technologies to farmers through training, demonstrations, and advisory services. You will build skills in farm management, data analysis, communication, and rural development planning.

Who gets in and how competitive it is

The Faculty admits students with SHS backgrounds in Agriculture, General Science, or Home Economics. This programme is less competitive than many other degree programmes, so if you have strong WASSCE passes in your core and elective subjects, you have a good chance of securing a place.
