What reservoir management is about
The petroleum industry depends on reservoir management to know how much oil and gas lies underground, how to get it out, and how long a field will last. This certificate gives an introduction to those ideas: the types of reservoir rock, the movement of fluids in the ground, and the basic calculations used to estimate production. Who the programme is for
The School of Petroleum Studies has designed this as a weekend-only certificate, with classes on Saturdays and Sundays, so it is possible to hold a job while you study. Applications are open to SHS graduates from General Arts, General Science, and Technical Studies, meaning the entry requirement is not limited to science students. Entry is less competitive than many full-time engineering degrees, but your WASSCE results will still be assessed.
