How hard is it to get a place at UMaT?

Entry to chemical engineering at the University of Mines and Technology is less competitive than the same programme at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology or the University of Cape Coast. The published requirement is credits in any three of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Geography in WASSCE. Because it is less competitive, your chances depend on meeting the subject requirements and the general admission criteria of the university. You should check whether your grades qualify.

Where chemical engineering can take you

Chemical engineering graduates are in demand in oil and gas, mining, food processing, pharmaceuticals, water treatment and manufacturing.
