How hard it is to get a place

This programme is less competitive than many other engineering degrees, which may improve your chances if you meet the requirements. The published entry requirements ask for credits in any three of these subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Geography. The School of Petroleum Studies accepts students from General Arts, General Science, and Technical Studies backgrounds. Check your WASSCE grades against these requirements to see if you qualify.

What you can do with this degree

Most graduates enter the oil and gas industry as refinery process engineers, production supervisors, or quality control specialists.
